Banks and embassies may want their own format
A salary certificate confirms employment and pay. It is not a salary transfer letter. For loans and credit cards, banks usually ask the employer to sign the bank's own salary transfer letter, which contains undertakings this tool does not write. Emirates NBD and Standard Chartered publish theirs. Embassies list what an employer letter must show in their visa checklists. Check with the bank or consulate before you print.

What is a salary certificate in the UAE?
It is a letter from the employer, usually on company letterhead and signed and stamped by an authorised signatory, confirming that the person works there, their job title and joining date, and their monthly salary. Banks, landlords and embassies ask for it.
What should a UAE salary certificate include?
The employee's full name, the job title, the joining date, and the basic salary and each allowance with the monthly total. Show the total in figures and in words. Add the passport number and nationality if the receiver asks for them. Finish with the date and the name and title of the signatory.
Is a salary certificate the same as a salary transfer letter?
No. A salary transfer letter is addressed to one bank, and in it the employer undertakes to keep paying salary into that bank account and to tell the bank if employment ends. Banks such as Emirates NBD and Standard Chartered publish their own formats. Ask your bank for its form. This tool does not produce one.
Why show basic salary separately from allowances?
Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, end-of-service gratuity and overtime pay are calculated on basic salary (Articles 51 and 19), so the person reading the letter often needs to see both the basic figure and the total.
Does an employer have to issue a salary certificate?
At the end of employment, the employer must give a free experience certificate on request, and that certificate states the last wage (Article 13(11)). We found no federal rule that requires a salary certificate during employment, but most employers issue one when asked.
How do I write the salary in words?
The generator writes it for you in UAE style, for example AED 12,000.00 becomes "Twelve thousand UAE dirhams only", and any fils are included.
