Managing Director

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Managing Director to lead a well-established interior design and fit-out business based in Dubai. This is a leadership opportunity for an individual with a proven track record of delivering operational excellence, driving business growth, and leading high-performing teams within the UAE fit-out and construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational performance, financial success, and business development of the company. They will work closely with the shareholders to drive sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of project delivery and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring efficient delivery across all departments. • Develop and execute the company's strategic growth plans in line with business objectives. • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, developers, architects and stakeholders across the UAE. • Oversee the successful delivery of commercial, luxury residential, hospitality and mixed-use fit-out projects. • Monitor financial performance, profitability, budgets and overall business performance. • Identify operational improvements to maximize efficiency, productivity and quality. • Lead, mentor and develop senior management and department heads, creating a high-performance culture. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. • Support tendering, commercial negotiations and contract management. • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, health and safety requirements and company governance. • Represent the business at industry events, networking functions and client meetings. • Report directly to the Board/Owners on company performance, growth opportunities and strategic initiatives. Requirements • Minimum 10 years' experience within the UAE interior fit-out, construction or interior design industry. • Currently operating at Director, Managing Director, Operations Director, Commercial Director or Business Development Director level is a must. • Proven leadership experience within an interior fit-out, luxury fit-out, commercial fit-out or construction business. • Strong operational leadership background or an exceptional business development background with proven commercial success. • Demonstrated experience managing large teams and multiple business functions. • Strong understanding of project delivery, commercial management and operational processes. • Excellent knowledge of the UAE construction and fit-out market. • Established network within the UAE property, construction and developer community would be highly advantageous. • Proven ability to grow revenue, improve profitability and scale business operations. • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L and business performance. • Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Business Management or a related discipline is preferred.
