We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Director to lead the growth strategy of a confidential, luxury design & build business in Dubai. This is a senior leadership role responsible for identifying new business opportunities, securing high-value projects, and building long-term relationships with developers, architects, consultants, private clients, and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's market presence within the luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors, while working closely with executive leadership, design, commercial, and project delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth • Develop and execute the company's business development strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth. • Identify, pursue, and secure new design & build, fit-out, and turnkey projects. • Generate and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial developments. • Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers, architects, consultants, project managers, and private clients. • Engage with clients during the early concept and pre-construction stages to position the company as the preferred design & build partner. • Identify opportunities within existing client accounts and establish new strategic partnerships. Client & Stakeholder Management • Lead client presentations, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions. • Develop tailored proposals and business strategies to maximise project success. • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the business development process. • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, exhibitions, and conferences. Commercial Strategy • Work closely with the Commercial, Design, and Estimating teams to prepare competitive proposals and bids. • Review project opportunities from both commercial and strategic perspectives. • Support pricing strategies while maintaining profitability and project quality. • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the UAE luxury market. Leadership • Lead and mentor the Business Development team. • Establish KPIs and monitor business development performance. • Collaborate with senior leadership to support the company's long-term growth strategy. • Foster a high-performance, relationship-driven culture. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. • 10+ years' experience in Business Development within design & build, construction, fit-out, architecture, or luxury real estate. • Proven track record of winning high-value projects in the UAE. • Strong network of developers, architects, consultants, interior designers, and private clients. • Excellent understanding of design & build procurement, project delivery, and construction processes. • Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing strategic client relationships. • Previous experience managing or mentoring business development teams is highly desirable.
