About the role Position Title: Consultant – Process Simulation & Facility Optimization Work Location: Kuwait Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company. Job Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and validate process and hydraulic simulation models for upstream production facilities. • Assess oil, gas, and water-handling capacity against production forecasts and operating requirements. • Identify facility bottlenecks, operational constraints, debottlenecking opportunities, and upgrade requirements. • Lead process optimization, debottlenecking, and facility performance improvement studies. • Evaluate water injection, water disposal, and production network performance. • Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex process and facility performance issues. • Review project design bases, Statements of Requirements (SOR), FEED deliverables, and performance-testing results. • Validate simulation results against actual field performance and operating data. • Develop and maintain technical simulation models, facility-capacity databases, and supporting engineering data. • Provide technical input to process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment, and facility modification activities. • Mentor engineers in process simulation, hydraulic analysis, optimization, and technical modeling techniques. • Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to improve facility capacity, reliability, and production performance. Qualification Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. • Master’s degree in Process Engineering or a related field is preferred. • Minimum 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience, with strong experience in upstream production facilities, process simulation, and brownfield optimization. • Strong expertise in process and hydraulic simulation, facility-capacity assessment, and bottleneck analysis. • Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and water-handling systems, production networks, and facility optimization. • Proficiency in recognized process and hydraulic simulation software. • Strong knowledge of process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment, and applicable international engineering standards. • Chartered Engineer and/or Certified HAZOP Leader qualification is preferred. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical-reporting skills. • Proven ability to develop and validate technical models using actual field and operational data. • Experience developing technical databases and engineering performance models. • Strong communication, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-transfer skills. • Upstream Oil & Gas operating-company experience is preferred.
