About the role Position Title: Consultant - Petroleum Engineer Work Location: Kuwait Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company. Job Responsibilities • Provide specialist petroleum engineering support for well completion, testing, stimulation, perforation, and workover activities. • Plan and support HPHT well testing and completion operations for onshore and offshore wells. • Provide technical expertise in sour-service well testing and associated completion requirements. • Develop and review well testing, completion, completion-fluid, stimulation, perforation, and workover programs. • Provide technical input for highly deviated and horizontal well completions, stimulation, and hydraulic fracturing activities. • Collect, analyze, and interpret well and production data to support petroleum engineering studies and technical decision-making. • Participate in studies conducted internally or by external consultants and provide technical recommendations. • Use petroleum engineering software, including tools for evaluating tubing movement, stresses, pressures, and well behavior during testing and completion operations. • Evaluate technical risks associated with well testing, completion, stimulation, and workover activities and support appropriate mitigation measures. • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and development support to less experienced petroleum engineers. • Lead or contribute to multidisciplinary studies involving geologists, geochemists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, and process engineers. • Develop, scope, plan, and manage petroleum engineering programs, including required resources, equipment, schedules, and technical deliverables. • Analyze technical options and recommend solutions that improve resource utilization, operational efficiency, well performance, and project value. • Prepare technical reports, studies, analyses, and recommendations for management and technical stakeholders. • Apply risk management principles and ensure activities are conducted in accordance with applicable petroleum engineering standards and procedures. Qualification Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline. • Minimum 20 years of international Upstream Oil & Gas experience, with substantial experience in well completion, testing, stimulation, and workover activities. • Extensive experience in HPHT well testing and completion for both onshore and offshore operations. • Proven experience with sour-service well testing and completion requirements. • Strong experience with highly deviated and horizontal well completion, stimulation, and hydraulic fracturing. • Proficiency in petroleum engineering software for well testing and completion analysis, including tubing movement, stresses, and pressure evaluation. • Proven experience developing, scoping, planning, and managing complex petroleum engineering programs. • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams comprising geologists, geochemists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, and process engineers. • International experience with major or independent E&P companies and/or research institutions is preferred. • Strong analytical, leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, planning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. • Middle East experience is an advantage.
