Senior Quantity Surveyor – Roads & Infrastructure Location: Sharjah, UAE | Type: Full-Time | Department: Commercial / QS Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with deep expertise in heavy civil construction (highways, bridges, utilities) to lead the commercial management and contract administration of large-scale infrastructure projects in the Northern Emirates Key Responsibilities • Cost & Financial Management: Prepare cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow forecasts, and monthly profitability reports • Valuations, Variations & Claims: Manage interim payment applications, value contract variations, and assist with EoT/prolongation claims • Subcontractor Management: Lead the procurement cycle, from tendering and contract drafting to final account settlements • Measurement & Contracts: Perform quantity take-offs (CESMM), verify BOQs, and administer FIDIC-based contracts to mitigate commercial risk • Mentorship: Guide and support junior QS and site-based commercial teams Qualifications & Experience • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in QS, Civil Engineering, or a related field (MRICS is a strong plus) • Experience: 8 to 12 years of core QS experience (minimum 4 years at Senior level) • Sector Expertise: Proven track record on UAE/GCC large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, earthworks, bridges, utilities) • Key Skills: Deep knowledge of FIDIC, proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy/CCS, advanced Excel), and strong negotiation skills Show more Show less
