Hotel General Manager (4-Star Hotel) Location: Business Bay, Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Recruitment Partner: TOSA About the Opportunity TOSA is recruiting on behalf of a well-established 4-star hotel located in Business Bay, Dubai. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead all aspects of hotel operations, drive financial performance, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong operational expertise, commercial acumen, and proven leadership experience in the UAE hospitality sector. Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations • Lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel. • Ensure seamless coordination between all departments including: • Front Office • Housekeeping • Food & Beverage • Kitchen • Engineering & Maintenance • Security • Sales & Marketing • Maintain high operational standards across all guest touchpoints. • Ensure compliance with brand standards (if applicable). Guest Experience • Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence. • Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally. • Monitor guest feedback and online reputation. • Implement continuous service improvement initiatives. Financial Management • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets. • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance. • Maximize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy. • Control departmental costs while maintaining service quality. • Review P&L statements and implement corrective actions where required. Revenue & Commercial Performance • Develop strategies to increase occupancy and profitability. • Work closely with Sales and Revenue Management teams. • Monitor market trends and competitor activity. • Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, OTAs, and tourism partners. People Leadership • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop hotel employees. • Foster a positive, high-performance culture. • Conduct regular performance reviews. • Ensure compliance with UAE labour regulations and company policies. Food & Beverage • Oversee restaurant, bar, banquet, and room service operations. • Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently maintained. • Monitor food and beverage costs and profitability. • Support menu development and promotional activities. Property & Compliance • Ensure the hotel is maintained to the highest standards. • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs. • Ensure compliance with: • Dubai Municipality regulations • Civil Defence requirements • DTCM requirements • Health & Safety standards • HACCP standards • UAE labour laws • Maintain all required operational licences and certifications. Business Development • Identify opportunities to improve revenue streams. • Develop strategic plans to enhance profitability. • Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions. • Build strong relationships with owners, suppliers, and stakeholders. RequirementsEssential • Minimum 5–8 years' experience as a Hotel General Manager, Resident Manager, or Operations Manager within a 4-star or 5-star hotel. • Previous experience managing hotels in the UAE. • Strong commercial and financial management skills. • Proven success in improving hotel profitability. • Excellent leadership and people management abilities. • Strong understanding of hotel operations across all departments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in hotel PMS systems (Opera preferred). • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Preferred • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. • Experience with branded international hotel chains. • Knowledge of revenue management principles. • Arabic language skills are advantageous.
