Senior Site Engineer – Electrical (Power Generation) Dubai, UAE

Location: Dubai, UAE Project Type: Confidential power generation IPP project Contract Type: Project-based assignment Company Description For a power generation IPP project in Dubai, UAE, we are mobilizing an Owner’s Engineer team to support EPC design review, construction supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, COD readiness, and warranty-period follow-up. We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience. Job Description We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer – Electrical to supervise electrical design review, installation, inspection, testing, energization, and commissioning support activities for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai. Key Responsibilities Include • Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications, load flow studies, short-circuit studies, protection studies, and equipment data sheets. • Supervise installation of transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panels, cables, cable trays, earthing systems, lighting, small power, and electrical balance-of-plant systems. • Monitor electrical works for quality, safety, schedule compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and project specifications. • Review method statements, ITPs, test procedures, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation. • Witness electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, earthing, protection relay testing, functional testing, and energization checks. • Coordinate electrical interfaces with grid / interconnection works, I&C, mechanical, commissioning, and EPC teams. • Review O&M manuals, spare parts lists, as-built drawings, and electrical close-out documentation. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 10–12 years of electrical engineering and site supervision experience. • Experience in power generation, utilities, industrial plants, substations, or EPC projects. • Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, protection, electrical testing, commissioning, and electrical safety. • Previous Owner’s Engineer or consultant-side experience is preferred. • UAE / GCC project experience is an advantage.
