Internal Auditor

Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will support the execution of risk-based internal audits, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and contribute to strengthening the Company's governance, risk management, and compliance processes. Key Resonsbilities • Execute risk-based internal audits in accordance with the approved annual audit plan. • Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various business functions. • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures. • Identify control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and areas for process improvement. • Prepare audit working papers, document findings, and develop practical recommendations. • Draft audit reports and communicate findings to relevant management. • Monitor and follow up on agreed corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of audit findings. • Support risk assessments and the development of audit programmes. • Coordinate with internal departments, external auditors, and other relevant stakeholders as required. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, or audit consulting. • Sound knowledge of risk-based auditing, internal controls, and compliance requirements. • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent. • Previous experience in the insurance or financial services sector. • Familiarity with Qatar Central Bank regulatory requirements.
