Senior AI Business Analyst

Our client is a large, established retail group in Dubai. The business is undergoing a significant transformation of its retail operations and is investing in automation and AI to simplify how it works. This role will lead process re-engineering and AI-driven use cases from discovery through to measurable results. Only candidates who can demonstrate previous leadership and stakeholder management experience will be successful. Responsibilities • Map current-state processes across merchandising, supply chain, inventory, pricing, promotions, POS, fulfilment, returns, CRM, finance and Finance • Document As-Is processes using BPMN 2.0, SIPOC and value stream maps, including exceptions, workarounds and system hand-offs. • Establish performance baselines such as cycle times, error rates and cost-to-serve through interviews, observation and data analysis. • Design future-state processes with a clear rationale, expected impact and trade-offs for each change. • Apply Lean, Six Sigma and value stream techniques to remove waste and streamline cross-functional workflows. • Build ROI-based business cases linking process improvements to strategic goals. • Identify and prioritise AI and automation opportunities, and lead the design of scalable workflow automations. • Define functional and non-functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria with technology teams. • Track automation outcomes against KPIs including time saved, error reduction and cost savings. • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, running workshops and steering committees and aligning stakeholders. Requirements • 15 years’ experience in senior business analysis or business process consulting in complex, multi-system environments. • Deep retail domain expertise across core retail processes. • Proven track record leading substantive process re-engineering programmes in large organisations. • Hands-on experience designing and deploying workflow automations across live business processes. • Experience taking AI use cases from identification through to deployment and impact measurement. • Practical delivery experience with BPMN 2.0, Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, SIPOC, RACI and gap analysis. • Strong executive stakeholder engagement, including C-suite workshops and decision-making sessions. • CBAP, CCBA or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt highly valued. • Familiarity with Oracle Retail, SAP, Salesforce Commerce, UiPath, Power Automate or Automation Anywhere is a plus.
