Civil Design Engineer

Antal International is partnering with a leading contracting company in Abu Dhabi, UAE, specializing in power infrastructure and engineering projects. The company has a strong presence in the power transmission and distribution sector, delivering critical infrastructure projects, including high-voltage substations and associated engineering works. We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer/Coordinator – Civil to coordinate civil and structural design activities, multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, and utility authority approvals for power infrastructure projects. The role involves reviewing technical deliverables, resolving design issues, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and schedules. Job Title - Design Civil Engineer Salary - AED 15,000 to AED 18,000 + Benefits + Bonus Reports - Design Manager / Project Manager Key Responsibilities • Coordinate civil and structural design deliverables, reviews, and submissions. • Review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents. • Coordinate design interfaces across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and MEP disciplines. • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to resolve technical issues. • Manage design comments, revisions, RFIs, and document approval workflows. • Identify design clashes and constructability issues and coordinate resolutions. • Coordinate utility authority approvals and NOCs with TAQA, DEWA, EtihadWE, and SEWA, where applicable. • Monitor design schedules and ensure timely delivery of approved construction and as-built drawings. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. • 10+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering and design coordination experience. • Experience in power, utilities, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects. • UAE/GCC project experience and utility authority approvals are highly desirable. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, or BIM is an advantage. • Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. • Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
