Position: Business Development Manager Department: Business Development / Commercial Location: Dubai, UAE Reporting To: Director / General Manager Industry: Marine / Offshore / Oil & Gas / Engineering Services Job Purpose We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager responsible for increasing company revenue through new client acquisition, existing client development, and strategic business relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas, Engineering, Shipyard, or related industries, with an established network of clients and decision-makers. The role requires a highly proactive individual who can spend significant time with clients, identify upcoming projects and manpower requirements, convert opportunities into business, and build long-term relationships. Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue & Business Growth • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve agreed revenue and sales targets. • Identify new revenue streams, projects, clients, and market opportunities. • Develop a healthy sales pipeline and ensure continuous conversion of opportunities into orders. • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, upcoming projects, and client requirements. • Prepare and implement action plans to increase company turnover and profitability. 2. Existing Client Management • Maintain daily communication and meetings with existing clients to understand their current and upcoming requirements. • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, project managers, operations teams, and HR/manpower departments. • Regularly visit clients and maintain a strong presence within key accounts. • Identify opportunities to increase business with existing clients through additional services and manpower requirements. • Ensure client satisfaction and address commercial or operational concerns promptly. 3. New Client Acquisition • Identify and approach potential new clients within the target industries. • Arrange meetings and presentations with prospective clients. • Introduce the company's capabilities, services, manpower solutions, and technical expertise. • Develop relationships with new decision-makers and convert prospects into active clients. • Lead the process of client onboarding, vendor registration, prequalification, and approval. • Follow up consistently until the client becomes an active account. 4. Project & Tender Development • Identify upcoming projects and manpower requirements at an early stage. • Obtain enquiries/RFQs and coordinate internally for technical and commercial proposals. • Work closely with the Operations, Recruitment, Technical, and Commercial teams to prepare competitive proposals. • Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercially within approved limits. • Track opportunities from initial enquiry → quotation → negotiation → award → mobilisation. 5. Client Meetings & Relationship Building • Maintain a structured schedule of daily client meetings and visits. • Develop strong professional relationships with existing and potential clients. • Attend industry meetings, networking events, exhibitions, conferences, and business forums. • Maintain regular communication with clients even when there are no immediate enquiries to ensure future opportunities are captured. 6.
