External Job Description Director – Business Development, Missiles & Weapons EDGE Commercial | Business Development We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director – Business Development, Missiles & Weapons to lead growth, opportunity development, customer engagement, and strategic partnerships across the Missiles, Precision Weapons, Armaments, and related defence systems portfolio. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute the Business Development strategy and long-term growth plans for the Missiles & Weapons domain. • Identify, shape, and capture high-value opportunities across missiles, guided weapons, artillery, precision strike systems, and weapon subsystems. • Build and maintain senior relationships with Armed Forces, defence ministries, procurement agencies, and strategic international partners. • Lead capture strategies, competitive positioning, commercial proposals, pricing, and opportunity governance. • Identify partnerships, joint ventures, co-development, technology transfer, and industrial participation opportunities. • Monitor market trends, emerging threats, customer requirements, and advanced weapons technologies. • Maintain a qualified pipeline, revenue forecasts, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting. • Ensure compliance with defence regulations, export controls, and internal governance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Defence Studies, Weapons Engineering, or a related field; Master’s/MBA preferred. • 15+ years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Programme or Product Management within the defence sector. • Deep expertise in missile systems, guided munitions, precision weapons, propulsion, GNC, seeker technologies, warheads, fuzes, and related systems. • Proven track record managing major defence programmes and high-value opportunities. • Strong knowledge of defence contracting, RFPs, pricing, export controls, and international markets. • Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, stakeholder management, leadership, and executive communication skills. • Excellent English; Arabic is an advantage.
