Electrical Engineer – Fit-Out Projects (Abu Dhabi Experience Required)

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in interior fit-out projects, specifically within Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience coordinating electrical works on commercial, hospitality, or residential fit-out projects, and a solid understanding of Abu Dhabi authority approval processes (Abu Dhabi Municipality, ADDC/EAD, Civil Defence, etc.). Key Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate electrical design and execution for interior fit-out projects from concept through handover • Review and develop electrical drawings, load calculations, and BOQs specific to fit-out scopes • Coordinate with MEP consultants, main contractors, and clients to ensure electrical works align with fit-out timelines • Manage submittals, material approvals, and inspections with Abu Dhabi regulatory authorities • Supervise site electrical works, ensuring compliance with UAE fire, safety, and building codes • Troubleshoot on-site coordination clashes between electrical, mechanical, and interior finishes • Prepare technical submittals, as-built drawings, and O&M documentation Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with demonstrable fit-out project experience (commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential) • Must have prior work experience in Abu Dhabi, with working knowledge of local authority approval processes • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software • Strong understanding of low current systems, LV panels, lighting design, and power distribution within fit-out environments • UAE driving license • ADQQ certificate is a plus • Knowledge in TAQA and ADCD standards • Ability to join immediately or on short notice is a plus Show more Show less
