Role Description The 3D Cake Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for designing, baking, and decorating complex 3D cakes for special events, creating visually striking and structurally sound cake designs that meet client specifications. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients or event coordinators, sketching and planning cake concepts, preparing batters and fillings, sculpting and assembling cake structures, and decorating cakes using fondant, sugar art, and other advanced techniques. The 3D Cake Chef also maintains kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards, manages inventory of ingredients and tools, and collaborates with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery. The role requires consistent attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work under tight deadlines for high-profile events and celebrations. Qualifications • Strong skills in cake baking, frosting preparation, and advanced 3D cake sculpting and decorating. • Ability to design and plan cake concepts, including sketching, portion planning, and structural support for complex designs. • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices, with adherence to local regulations. • Experience managing time, multitasking, and working efficiently in a high-volume pastry or bakery environment. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, event planners, and kitchen team members. • Prior experience as a pastry chef, cake decorator, or in a similar specialized cake design role; portfolio of past work is highly beneficial. • Relevant culinary or pastry qualification or certification is preferred, but equivalent practical experience will be considered. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on event schedules.
