Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of landscaping projects from tender stage through to final account settlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, budget control, contract administration, valuation of works, and cost reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities • Prepare quantity take-offs from project drawings, specifications, and related documentation. • Develop accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender submissions for landscaping projects. • Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle. • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and compliance with project requirements. • Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and verify contractor and supplier invoices. • Measure completed works on-site and validate quantities for progress claims and final accounts. • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize project accounts. • Monitor project cash flow, cost forecasts, and commercial performance. • Maintain comprehensive records of measurements, contracts, variations, claims, and project documentation. • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Finance teams to support project delivery. • Manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims in accordance with project requirements. • Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and applicable UAE regulations. • Support the procurement process for materials, suppliers, and subcontract packages when required. • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, safety, and project standards. • Prepare periodic commercial and cost reports for management review. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Minimum 3-7 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within landscaping, irrigation, infrastructure, or civil construction projects in the UAE. • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, contract administration, and UAE construction industry practices. • Experience working on landscaping projects involving softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, water features, and external works is highly preferred. • UAE driving license is an advantage. Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost management, and construction contracts. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office applications. • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities. • Strong commercial awareness and cost-control expertise. • Effective negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • High attention to detail and accuracy in measurement, reporting, and documentation. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
