The Talent Lever
The Talent Lever | Indonesia (Hybrid) About The Role We're representing a high-growth SaaS company expanding seriously into The Middle East— and they need their first dedicated HR leader on the ground here. Right now, people decisions are being made without the right support, and they know it. This is for the HR leader who's done the full generalist stretch, understands what a scaling business actually needs from its people function, and is ready to own it — not inherit it. What You'd Own • Build and lead the HR function for the Middle East from the ground up — structure, process, and team • Partner with country leadership and regional HR on people strategy, workforce planning, and org design • Own the full employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance, development, and exits • Ensure full compliance with labour law and keep the company protected as it scales • Drive a performance culture — frameworks that are fair, consistent, and actually used • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and good judgment • Lead on compensation benchmarking and ensure the company stays competitive in the local market • Build employer brand presence in Indonesia so the best people want to work here What You'll Bring • 12+ years in HR, with at least 3 years in a senior generalist or leadership role • Strong working knowledge of Indonesian employment law and HR compliance • Experience in a growth-stage or scaling organisation — you know what it's like to build, not just maintain • Commercially minded: you think about people decisions in the context of business outcomes • Confident working independently and making judgment calls without a large team behind you You'll Thrive Here If • You're comfortable being the most senior HR person in the room locally — and that energises you rather than unnerves you • You build things properly the first time so they don't need to be rebuilt six months later • You can earn trust quickly with founders and leadership who may not have had a strong HR partner before • You want real scope, not a narrowly defined remit Compensation: Competitive senior leadership package. Hybrid working based in Indonesia. Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. Most people won't put themselves forward unless they meet every line — we'd rather you did. We know our clients well. If you're close, we'll champion you and advise them accordingly. Show more Show less
