About The Role This newly created position is a key addition to our Solutions Architect team and will focus on Pressure Relief & Activation applications across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEA/SA). The Solutions Architect is the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Pressure Relief & Activation across the region, supporting Regional Managers, customers, and channel partners with technically sound solutions, including non-standard applications. This is primarily a technical Applications / pre-sales role, combining deep technical expertise with consultative customer engagement and commercial awareness. It is not a direct sales role. You will work closely with end-customers, channel partners, and the regional commercial team, while liaising internally with Fike's Engineering and Applications teams in Europe and the United States, translating technical requirements into practical solutions in accordance with applicable customer process parameters and the relevant safety standards. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise & Solutions • Work directly with end-customers and partners to develop custom solutions for their specific pressure relief and downhole activation applications, including application reviews and non-standard product requests. • Gather, analyze, and translate customer requirements into technical specifications and engineering requests. • Provide application, design, installation, and troubleshooting guidance to customers and internal stakeholders. • Prepare technical documentation, calculations, design submissions, written evaluations, and recommendations as required. • Research and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. • Act as the technical interface between customers, Regional Managers, and channel partners and Fike's Engineering and Applications teams in Europe and the United States. • Develop and maintain deep product and application expertise to address technical questions and support requests over time. Customer, Commercial & Market Engagement • Support Regional Managers and partners in progressing opportunities — including customer meetings, technical discussions, and major projects — by providing strong technical support, clear assumptions and exclusions, and early risk identification. • Participate in customer site visits and large project engagements where specialist knowledge is required. • Communicate the value and integration of Fike solutions within customer applications. • Deliver technical training and product demonstrations to channel partners, customers, and regional colleagues. • Represent Fike's technical expertise at relevant industry forums and technical events as a subject matter expert and educator. • Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations, and of market, technology, and competitive developments. Qualifications What We're Looking For Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. • Experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or a similar customer-facing technical role. • Understanding of process-safety and pressure-relief principles. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset. • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal. • Ability to adapt to regular work across multiple time zones, in particular to interface with Fike's teams in the United States. • Willingness to travel up to 10% across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, with occasional travel to Europe and the United States for training and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications • Experience within Pressure Relief, Activation, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, process industries, or related sectors. • Background as an Application Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Sales Engineer, or similar technical-commercial role. • Strong understanding of, and hands-on experience with, rupture discs, pressure relief valve (PRV) isolation, oil & gas pressure activation devices, or related industrial safety equipment. • Knowledge of relevant pressure-relief codes and standards, including ASME, API, and ISO 4126 / PED. • Experience working with customers across the Middle East, Africa, or South Asia.
