About the role The Business Development Manager – WPS Sales is responsible for driving HURU's corporate payroll business by acquiring new corporate customers, expanding strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across WPS payroll processing, Payroll Cards, Virtual IBAN Accounts, Salary Accounts, and value-added financial services. The role owns the end-to-end sales lifecycle—from prospecting and business development through commercial negotiations, contract execution, onboarding, and long-term account management. Working closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Customer Experience, and Finance teams, the Business Development Manager will identify new market opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and contribute directly to HURU's commercial growth strategy while ensuring full compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations and internal governance standards. What will you do? Business Development and Corporate Sales • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve payroll acquisition, revenue, and profitability targets. • Identify, engage, and acquire SME, mid-market, and enterprise customers for payroll processing and salary disbursement solutions. • Drive the adoption of HURU Payroll Cards, Virtual IBAN Accounts, Salary Accounts, and other digital financial services. • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, channel partnerships, and strategic business development initiatives. • Own the complete sales lifecycle, including lead generation, discovery meetings, solution presentations, proposal preparation, commercial negotiations, contract execution, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management. • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while maintaining strong commercial discipline. Strategic Partnerships • Develop and manage strategic relationships with Exchange Houses, Banks, Financial Institutions, Payroll Consultants, Corporate Service Providers, and other channel partners. • Expand HURU's partner ecosystem to accelerate customer acquisition and payroll processing volumes. • Identify new business opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies for payroll and embedded financial services. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize partnership performance and commercial outcomes. Customer Relationship Management • Build trusted relationships with business owners, CEOs, CFOs, HR Directors, Payroll Managers, Finance Managers, and other key decision-makers. • Ensure seamless onboarding and successful implementation for new corporate customers. • Deliver exceptional customer experience while driving customer retention, account growth, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities. • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client business requirements and recommending suitable financial solutions. Product and Market Development • Work closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to enhance HURU's payroll and payment solutions. • Provide customer insights and market intelligence to support product innovation and service enhancements. • Support the successful launch of new digital products, services, and strategic commercial initiatives. • Monitor competitor activities, industry developments, customer trends, and emerging opportunities within the UAE payroll and payments ecosystem. Operational Excellence and Compliance • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient onboarding and implementation of payroll clients. • Monitor payroll activation, customer utilization, onboarding turnaround time, and service performance. • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations, Wage Protection System (WPS) requirements, AML/CFT regulations, and all internal policies and governance standards. Performance Reporting Monitor, analyse, and report key commercial performance metrics, including: • New corporate customer acquisition • Payroll processing volumes • Payroll Card issuance • Card activation rates • Revenue achievement • Sales pipeline performance • Customer retention • Partner performance • Cross-sell and upsell success • Sales forecasting accuracy Prepare regular business performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for leadership. What are we looking for? • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline. • Professional certifications in Sales, Banking, Payments, Financial Services, or Relationship Management are an advantage. • 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, Relationship Management, or Commercial roles within fintech, banking, payments, payroll, or financial services. • Strong understanding of UAE Wage Protection System (WPS), payroll processing, prepaid card programmes, Virtual IBAN solutions, and digital payment products. • Proven track record of consistently achieving revenue targets and business growth. • Experience managing large corporate accounts and strategic partnerships. • Experience working with Exchange Houses, Banks, Payroll Providers, Corporate Service Providers, or Financial Institutions is highly desirable.
