Data Governance and Compliance Lead Expert Apply now » Date: 1 Oct 2026 Location: Riyadh, SA Company: Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority Purpose of Job Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives. Jobholders might act as internal consultants and facilitators through providing guidance to deliver and perform operational activities. Their main operational role includes providing guidance in developing data governance roadmap and programs to ensure that data is consistent, secure, accurate, audited and documented, supervising data governance activities to advise on corrective actions, providing expertise in identifying improvement areas and recommending improvement actions to minimize facing data issues. Job Resposiblites Follow-up on data governance latest news, trends, best practices and international standards to define needed updates in data governance policies, standards and procedures Review National Data Management Office (NDMO) approved standards and policies to recommend updates in ZATCA’s current data guides and ensure continuous adherence with NDMO requirements Manage the implementation of data governance activities across ZATCA’s functions identifying noncompliant cases and ensure timely resolution Review functions and duties to allocate access rights to internal stakeholders and ensure limited information access securing data protection Develop and update information controls to protect ZATCA fro unauthorized access, breaches and vulnerability Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes Job Details Communication and Contacs Education Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent is required Experience A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Competencies Collaboration and Communication - Proficient Customer Focus - Proficient Data Analytics - Advanced Data Management Planning and Design - Advanced Data Processing - Advanced Database Design and Operations - Advanced Enablement of Change and Innovation - Proficient IT Compliance - Advanced Policy Making - Advanced Professionalism - Proficient Results Oriented - Proficient Apply now » Find similar jobs: Join Talent Community Home Page View All Jobs Opens in a new tab.
