Associate Professor - Media & Creative Industries

The Department of Media and Creative Industries at UAEU is seeking an accomplished scholar and educator in Journalism and Mass Communication/Media Studies with specialization in Digital Journalism. Candidate must demonstrate expertise in current convergent newsroom practices and understanding of the transformations going on in journalism. We seek a candidate with professional experience in Journalism including news writing and reporting, multi-media and data journalism. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus. Preferred qualifications: Applicant must have an earned earned PhD in relevant field.
