AV Technician

Movenpick Resort Al Marjan Island AV Technician As an AV Technician , you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual systems and equipment throughout the property, ensuring seamless support for meetings, events, conferences, and guest experiences. What you will be doing: Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, televisions, video conferencing systems, and related technologies. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Set up and test AV systems for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and other events according to operational requirements. Respond promptly to AV-related issues and provide effective technical support to guests and colleagues. Monitor and maintain audiovisual systems in guest areas, meeting rooms, banquet venues, restaurants, and public spaces. Coordinate with the Events, Banquets, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of all events. Ensure all AV equipment is properly stored, maintained, and accounted for. Inspect all AV installations and work areas for safety concerns and take immediate corrective action when necessary. Support all departments with their audiovisual requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Adhere to hotel standards, health and safety regulations, and preventive maintenance procedures.

Your experience and skills include: Previous experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and conferencing systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Familiarity with digital sound systems, projectors, LED displays, and video conferencing platforms. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple event setups in a fast-paced environment.
