La Cigale Hotel Managed by Accor Assist in planning, organizing, and executing weddings, conferences, corporate events, private functions, banquets, and other special events. Coordinate with clients and event organizers regarding function requirements, menus, seating arrangements, timelines, and special requests. Ensure all function spaces are properly set up according to the event requirements and approved banquet event orders. Supervise banquet staff before, during, and after functions to ensure professional and efficient service. Conduct pre-function briefings and communicate event details, responsibilities, and service standards to the team. Coordinate closely with the Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Sales, and other departments. Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality, presentation, timing, and portion standards are maintained. Welcome guests and ensure their requirements are attended to promptly and professionally. Handle guest concerns and service issues efficiently and escalate matters to the Banquet & Function Manager when required. Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling and deployment of banquet personnel according to business requirements. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of banquet equipment, furniture, crockery, glassware, cutlery, and other operational supplies. Monitor stock levels and minimize wastage, breakage, and unnecessary operational costs. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and hygiene requirements. Assist with inventory checks and ensure all banquet areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Support the Banquet & Function Manager in achieving departmental revenue and cost-control targets. Review function requirements and ensure all agreed services are delivered accurately and on time. Assist with post-event follow-up, including client feedback and reporting of operational issues. Train, coach, and motivate banquet team members to maintain consistent service standards. Prepare operational reports and provide feedback to management regarding events, staffing, guest feedback, and any incidents. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Banquet & Function Manager or senior management.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Event Management, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in banquet operations, events, hospitality, or food & beverage, preferably with supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of banquet service, event setup, food and beverage operations, and hospitality standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to coordinate multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Good leadership and team-management skills. Strong customer-service orientation and problem-solving ability. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours based on event requirements.
