Geological Engineer

WSP is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team, supporting the delivery of major transportation, road, utilities, and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and technical reporting, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop safe, practical, and cost-effective geotechnical solutions. This role is best suited to candidates with a strong consulting engineering background and experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering. Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred. 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience. Proven experience delivering transportation, roads, highways, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Strong consultancy background within engineering design environments. Experience interpreting geotechnical investigation data and laboratory testing results. Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, WALLAP, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of foundation engineering, soil mechanics, earthworks, retaining structures, and ground improvement techniques. Familiarity with Eurocodes, AASHTO, British Standards, and relevant UAE standards. Excellent technical report writing and communication skills. Experience working on major infrastructure projects within the UAE or GCC region is preferred. Knowledge of Abu Dhabi and UAE ground conditions is highly desirable. Previous experience with leading engineering consultancies is preferred. Consultant-side infrastructure experience is essential.   Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
