Design & Interface Manager - Aviation

WSP Middle East is seeking a Design & Interface Manager - Aviation Projects to support the delivery of a major airport modernisation programme in Dammam, KSA. The role will lead design coordination and interface management across a complex aviation project, working closely with clients, airport operators, consultants, contractors, authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key design interfaces, stakeholder engagement, programme dependencies, and technical coordination activities to support the successful delivery of the project in line with quality, schedule, and operational requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant field. 20+ years of experience in interface management, stakeholder management, or project coordination within large ‑ scale aviation or major infrastructure projects. Experience working with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, or large PMC/consultancy organisations (highly preferred). Strong technical understanding of aviation infrastructure, design processes, construction interfaces, and multi ‑ party coordination. Manage interfaces across a complex aviation infrastructure programme and ensure effective coordination between governmental authorities, airport operators, contractors, consultants, utility providers, and internal project teams. Establish and manage structured interface and stakeholder engagement processes to support programme delivery, facilitate timely decision-making, and ensure resolution of interface-related issues. Monitor critical dependencies, manage interface risks, and provide regular reporting to the Project Director to support delivery in accordance with project objectives, schedules, and stakeholder requirements.
