Company Description GreenVolt Electrical Contracting LLC is a solar installation and commissioning contractor based in Dubai, specializing in the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems. We work with EPC contractors, main contractors, and project companies to execute solar projects safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Our scope mainly covers on-site solar installation works, including module installation, DC and AC works, equipment installation, cable works, testing, commissioning support, and coordination of associated civil and structural works. Role Description We are looking for a Site Engineer – Solar Installation to join our team in Dubai. The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day installation activities at solar project sites. The role is mainly site-based and requires hands-on involvement in solar construction and installation works. Key Responsibilities * Supervise daily solar PV installation activities at project sites. * Coordinate with workers, supervisors, subcontractors, and the main contractor. * Monitor installation progress and ensure work is completed according to drawings, method statements, and project requirements. * Supervise solar module mounting, structure installation, DC cabling, AC works, equipment installation, and related site activities. * Coordinate with civil and structural teams where required for solar installation works. * Check the quality of installation and identify and resolve site issues. * Read and understand electrical, structural, and solar installation drawings. * Coordinate material requirements and ensure materials are available at site. * Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and maintain basic site documentation. * Coordinate with the main contractor/EPC site team regarding work schedules and site requirements. * Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. * Ensure that workers follow site HSE requirements and safe working practices. * Monitor manpower and productivity at site. * Report technical, manpower, material, or site-related issues to the project manager/company management. * Ensure work is completed within the required schedule and quality standards. Qualifications & Requirements * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering. * Previous experience in solar PV installation or construction projects is preferred. * Practical site experience in solar installation, construction, or MEP works will be an advantage. * Good understanding of solar PV installation works and basic electrical systems. * Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project documents. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Basic knowledge of site safety and HSE requirements. * Ability to supervise workers and coordinate with subcontractors and other site teams. * Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and site reporting. * UAE site experience is an advantage. * Candidates who are willing to work in a full-time site-based role in Dubai are preferred. * UAE driving licence is an advantage. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a practical -on Site Engineer who is comfortable working at construction sites and coordinating directly with installation teams. The candidate should be able to take responsibility for daily site activities, identify problems, communicate effectively with the project team, and ensure that solar installation works are completed safely and properly.
