Estimation Engineer – Construction

We are looking to hire Estimation Engineer – Construction For Orient House Construction in UAE Location / Abu Dhabi Emirate Job Purpose To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, manage tendering activities, and provide technical and commercial support to ensure successful tender submissions in line with the company's business objectives. Main Responsibilities: Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related costs. Conduct quantity take-offs and verify quantities against drawings and specifications. Prepare and review tender BOQs, pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Perform detailed rate analysis and cost comparisons for various construction activities. Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks in tender documents and raise technical and commercial clarifications. Coordinate with the Procurement, Technical, and Project Departments to obtain accurate cost information. Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and supporting estimation documents within required deadlines. Analyze project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions and value engineering alternatives. Maintain and update estimation databases, supplier rates, and historical cost records. Participate in tender review meetings and provide cost-related recommendations to management. Ensure compliance with company procedures and tender requirements throughout the estimation process. Skills: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Minimum 10 years of experience (in UAE) in construction estimation and tendering in UAE Market. Strong experience in estimating buildings and construction projects. Excellent knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQ pricing, cost analysis, and rate build-ups. Good understanding of construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and subcontracting costs. Familiarity with UAE construction market rates and tendering practices. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction specifications is an advantage. Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge at both design and build projects and construction projects.
