Delivery Assurance Director - Infrastructure

We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Assurance Director – Infrastructure to provide independent assurance and oversight across major infrastructure and capital projects. The role will focus on ensuring projects are properly governed, realistically planned, effectively controlled and ready to progress through key delivery stages, while providing independent challenge on cost, schedule, risk and overall project performance. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Lead independent delivery assurance reviews across major infrastructure projects. • Conduct stage-gate and project readiness reviews and provide clear recommendations to senior management. • Independently challenge cost estimates, schedules, forecasts, risks and contingencies. • Review overall project performance and identify potential cost overruns, delays and delivery risks early. • Assess the effectiveness of project controls, governance, reporting and escalation processes. • Review EPC, EPCM, PMC/PMCM and Design & Build delivery arrangements. • Monitor major variations, claims, change orders and commercial risks. • Review project recovery plans where cost, schedule or delivery performance is outside agreed tolerances. • Assess construction readiness, interface management and contractor performance. • Provide assurance during construction, commissioning, operational readiness and handover. • Ensure key project risks and issues are clearly reported and escalated to senior leadership. • Work closely with Project Directors, owners/developers, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders. • Provide independent, evidence-based recommendations to support senior management decisions.
