Chief Delivery Officer Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Chief Delivery Officer to lead the delivery of a major international capital project portfolio across energy, infrastructure and mining. The role will oversee projects from initial opportunity assessment and investment decision through construction, commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities • Lead delivery across the capital project portfolio. • Assess project deliverability, CAPEX, schedules, risks and contracting strategies. • Lead technical due diligence and investment decision delivery cases. • Oversee EPC/EPCM and other delivery models. • Manage major projects through construction, commissioning, acceptance and handover. • Lead recovery of delayed or distressed projects. • Oversee project governance, cost, schedule, risk, claims and reporting. • Manage and develop senior Delivery Directors. Mandatory Requirements • 20+ years' experience in major capital projects. • 8+ years at executive level, such as VP Projects, Head of Capital Projects or equivalent. • Accountable experience managing a multi-project capital portfolio of USD 5bn+. • Must have led at least one USD 1bn+ asset on the owner's side from front-end development through investment decision to operation. • Senior experience on both the owner/developer side and tier-one EPC contractor or PMC side. • Experience negotiating delivery terms covering definitive agreements, JV agreements, concessions or project financing. • Experience delivering projects in frontier or post-conflict environments. • Engineering or related degree. • Strong technical knowledge of FEL/stage gates, AACE estimate classes, P50/P90, integrated master schedules, EPC/EPCM, FIDIC, claims, project finance, JV/SPV governance, commissioning and handover
