Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer Salary: 15-20k Luxury design consultancy are seeking experience Site Engineer to look after an exclusive villa project in a prestigious area of Dubai. The Site Engineer will be stationed at a completed private residential villa in Jumeirah Islands, overseeing ongoing snagging and post-completion works. The role centres on upholding the highest standards of workmanship, driving the prompt and thorough closure of defects, and making sure client concerns are dealt with professionally and efficiently. It calls for a hands-on, service-minded professional with solid technical knowledge, a keen eye for detail and the confidence to lead contractors and specialist trades through to final close-out. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day site operations at the villa, coordinating contractors, subcontractors and specialist trades. • Develop and manage the programme for outstanding works and snagging, agreeing priorities and sequencing with the relevant contractors. • Track progress against the agreed programme, chase commitments, flag delays and take corrective action to keep works on schedule. • Coordinate site access, labour, deliveries and material availability to support the efficient completion of works. • Run the snagging process, maintaining a current schedule of outstanding items, assigning actions and following each one through to completion. • Review contractor performance and confirm that completed works meet the agreed scope, quality and workmanship standards. • Handle client requests and concerns, making sure issues are logged, passed to the right parties and resolved promptly. • Lead or attend site coordination meetings as needed, agreeing actions with contractors and following up on delivery. • Keep clear records of site progress, contractor activity, outstanding works and completed items, providing regular updates to the Project Manager. • Inspect completed remedial works to verify quality and confirm that issues have been fully resolved. Key Requirements • A minimum of 8 years’ site management experience in high-end residential construction or luxury interior fit-out. • Proven experience managing contractors, subcontractors and specialist trades on residential projects. • Confident in planning and monitoring site programmes, sequencing works and balancing competing priorities. • Sound knowledge of construction methods and interior fit-out, with the ability to judge the quality and completeness of works. • Experience handling snagging, remedial works and contractor close-out. • Polished communication skills and confidence working with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. • Well organised, proactive and hands-on, able to take ownership of site operations and drive works to completion. • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple outstanding items at once. • Accountable and solutions-focused, with a practical approach to site inspections and snag resolution. Software and Other Skills • Working proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. • Clear, professional communicator who engages effectively with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. • Able and willing to maintain a regular, hands-on presence at the villa.
