Banking Technical Analyst

Systems Limited – Middle East & Africa (Techvista) is looking for an experienced Technical Analyst – Banking Technology to support banking technology initiatives by bridging business requirements and technical implementation. This role requires a combination of banking domain knowledge and technical understanding, particularly in digital banking, APIs, SQL, application integrations, and system testing. The candidate should be comfortable analyzing system behavior and coordinating with technical teams without requiring hands-on software development. Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for banking technology solutions. • Review technical documentation, application specifications, interface documents, and system workflows. • Analyze application dependencies, data flows, and interactions between core banking and digital banking systems. • Support analysis of retail and corporate banking products, including accounts, payments, cards, deposits, lending, and customer onboarding. • Review API documentation, endpoints, request/response structures, JSON/XML payloads, and HTTP status codes. • Use tools such as Postman or Swagger to perform basic API testing and validate responses. • Write SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and validate data across relational databases. • Support application integration activities, including API-based communication, middleware, and batch processing. • Prepare and execute integration test scenarios and support SIT, UAT, and regression testing. • Investigate functional and technical issues, document findings, track defects, and coordinate resolution with developers and vendors. • Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, development teams, and application support teams. Requirements & Key Skills • 6+ years of experience in Technical Analysis, Application Support, Systems Integration, Software Testing, or Technology Delivery. • Good understanding of retail and corporate banking products, processes, and transaction flows. • Knowledge of digital banking platforms, including mobile banking, internet banking, and corporate banking portals. • Understanding of core banking systems and their integration with digital channels and supporting applications. • Good knowledge of REST APIs, web services, application integrations, and data exchange. • Ability to read and interpret API documentation, JSON/XML payloads, HTTP methods, and status codes. • Basic to intermediate SQL skills, including SELECT statements, filters, joins, and aggregations. • Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools. • Understanding of system workflows, application dependencies, integration testing, and data validation. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. • Banking or financial services experience is strongly preferred.
