Mechanical Technician

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on rotating and static equipment in continuously operating process plants. • Install, dismantle, overhaul, and reinstall pumps, blowers, compressors, fans, turbines, and associated mechanical components. • Maintain valves, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and piping systems, including component inspection and replacement. • Diagnose mechanical faults, identify causes of equipment failure, and independently carry out assigned repairs. • Interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and equipment datasheets to execute maintenance and verify clearances, alignment, and assembly requirements. • Inspect completed work against applicable standards; clean, preserve, and store dismantled components, and record maintenance activities in CMMS. • Use maintenance tools and lifting equipment safely, complying with HSEQ, permit-to-work, isolation, and work-at-height requirements. Requirements • Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline through a 12+3-year education pathway. • Minimum six years of relevant, hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industry. • Demonstrated competency in troubleshooting, overhauling, and maintaining rotating and static mechanical equipment. • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, datasheets, and maintenance procedures, with working knowledge of CMMS. • Strong HSEQ track record and practical knowledge of safe isolation, maintenance tools, and working at height.
