Accounts Receivable Accountant (Hospitality)

We are looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Accountant (Hospitality)who will be responsible for responsible for managing and tracking incoming payments (revenue), ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining financial records and financial reporting . This role is for one of the largest semi-government organisations in the region. The role sits within the Finance Department and reports directly to the Invoicing & Revenue Manager. This is initially a role for 3 months. We are looking to hire a passionate Accounts Receivable Accountant (Hospitality) The role will be responsible for managing and tracking incoming payments and revenue, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining comprehensive financial records, and supporting financial reporting requirements. This position is within one of the region’s largest semi-government organisations. Key responsibilities: • Reconcile receipts for different payment methods, such as cash, credit card, bank transfers, and cheques, by using the Oracle - Fusion. • Generate invoices based on sales orders, contracts, or service agreements ensure invoices include correct details. • Payment processing & reconciliation -reconcile accounts receivable (AR) ledger to ensure all payments are properly accounted for. • Reconcile physical collection with the daily collection report and sign off for the day, including banking transactions. • Reporting and compliance -prepare AR aging reports, provide insights on overdue accounts and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. • Perform monthly bank reconciliation activities, including reconciling the cash book (GL) with bank books (BS). • Handle and coordinate with the Treasury and Finance team by providing necessary information. Knowledge, skills & experience: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; ACA/ACCA/CPA preferred • Strong experience in AR/AP accounting and invoicing • Minimum of 5 years of experience. • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Opera and working within the Hospitality sector • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Availability: Preference will be given to candidates available immediately.
