Senior Legal Advisor – Litigation

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE : To provide specialized legal advice and manage litigation matters, disputes, and legal proceedings, ensuring the protection of the Bank's legal and financial interests, effective representation before judicial authorities, and compliance with applicable Saudi laws and regulations. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY : • Ensures compliance with relevant legal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing litigation and dispute resolution. • Supports the development and enhancement of litigation management procedures to mitigate legal risks and strengthen legal governance. • Manages assigned litigation cases and legal disputes, ensuring timely actions, proper documentation, and effective coordination with relevant stakeholders. • Monitors case developments, court deadlines, and legal proceedings to ensure appropriate and timely responses. • Manages and oversees litigation cases involving the Bank before competent courts, judicial committees, and relevant authorities. • Prepares and reviews legal pleadings, statements of defense, appeals, legal memoranda, and supporting documentation. • Represents the Bank in legal proceedings, where authorized, and coordinates with external legal counsel when required. • Evaluates litigation risks, assesses potential legal exposure, and recommends appropriate legal strategies. • Provides legal advice on banking disputes, commercial claims, debt recovery, and enforcement proceedings. • Reviews court judgments and decisions, advises on their implications, and follows up on appeals and enforcement actions. • Supports negotiations and settlement discussions to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting the Bank's interests. • Coordinates with internal departments to gather evidence, review contractual obligations, and develop appropriate legal positions. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Law. • Professional legal license or accreditation in Saudi Arabia is preferred. Minimum Experience: • 8–10 years of relevant legal experience, with substantial exposure to litigation, dispute resolution, and legal proceedings. • Proven experience handling banking, financial, or commercial litigation cases. • Experience representing financial institutions or working within a banking legal department is strongly preferred. Language: • Arabic: Fluent • English: Advanced

Bachelor's degree in Law.
