Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. Requirements • Previous hotel housekeeping experience is essential, preferably including supervisory experience. • Strong knowledge of guest room cleaning, public area maintenance, and hotel hygiene standards. • Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff. • Experience preparing duty rosters and assigning daily workloads according to occupancy. • Ability to inspect rooms and ensure they meet hotel standards before release. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling procedures, and housekeeping equipment. • Experience controlling linen, amenities, cleaning supplies, and stock levels. • Good communication skills in Bangali, Arabic, English; additional languages are an advantage. • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. • Familiarity with hotel property management systems. Key Responsibilities • Supervise daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public areas. • Inspect cleaned rooms, report deficiencies, and follow up on corrective action. • Coordinate room readiness with Reception and maintenance work with the Maintenance team. • Train staff on cleaning procedures, safety, professional conduct, and guest privacy. • Monitor supply consumption, prevent waste, and maintain accurate inventory records. • Handle housekeeping requests and complaints promptly and professionally. • Maintain lost-and-found records and follow hotel procedures for guests’ belongings. • Submit daily, weekly reports covering room status, staffing, maintenance issues, and supply needs.
