Application Developer

1. Job Purpose: Develop, maintain, and enhance company business applications; contribute to the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform; and identify practical opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to improve efficiency and decision-making. 2. Key Responsibilities: A. Application Development & Support • Develop, maintain, and enhance internal applications, reports, dashboards, and integrations. • Troubleshoot application issues, monitor performance, and maintain secure, reliable, documented solutions. • Gather requirements from business departments and translate them into technical solutions. • Coordinate with external software vendors on incidents, enhancements, and technical support. B. New ERP Selection & Implementation • Participate in technical evaluation of shortlisted ERP solutions, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Odoo, as applicable. • Support requirements gathering across Finance, Sales, Inventory, HR, Service, and other departments. • Assist with vendor demonstrations, technical assessments, proof-of-concept testing, and evaluation documentation. • Contribute to configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, reports, dashboards, and workflow improvements. • Work with ERP consultants and business stakeholders under the National IT Manager’s project direction. C. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Business Automation • Identify, evaluate, and pilot practical AI tools and automation opportunities across company functions. • Develop AI-assisted workflows and applications, where technically feasible and approved. • Explore AI-enabled reporting, sales forecasting, inventory insights, customer service, document extraction, and administrative automation. • Assess proposed AI use cases through proof-of-concept work and measurable business outcomes. • Evaluate integration of approved AI capabilities with ERP and other internal applications. • Apply company information-security, privacy, and approval requirements to all AI initiatives. D. System Integration & Digital Transformation • Develop and maintain API-based integrations among ERP, CRM, HR, and other systems. • Identify opportunities to replace manual tasks with reliable digital workflows. • Contribute to digital transformation planning, technology assessment, and continuous process improvement. 3. Qualifications & Technical Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. • Practical experience in application development, databases, APIs, and system integration. • Knowledge of ERP business processes; ERP implementation or integration exposure preferred. • Understanding of AI technologies and business automation; ability to evaluate and develop practical use cases. • Experience with web development, reporting tools, and modern software engineering practices. 4. Key Competencies • Analytical problem-solving, initiative, and willingness to learn emerging technologies. • Effective collaboration with internal departments, vendors, and implementation consultants. • Ability to manage parallel development, support, ERP, and AI-related assignments. • Clear documentation, accountability, and timely delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. Practical experience in application development, databases, APIs, and system integration.
