Senior Manager Finance Operations

The Senior Manager – Finance Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization's finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient transaction processing, robust financial controls, cash flow management, and compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements. The role drives operational excellence across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury, budgeting support, and financial governance while providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Finance Operations Management • Lead and oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury, and financial closing processes. • Establish and monitor financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets. • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes and operational efficiency. • Monitor working capital, liquidity, and cash flow to support business requirements. Financial Reporting & Analysis • Review and validate financial reports, management accounts, and operational financial performance. • Provide financial insights, trend analysis, and performance recommendations to senior leadership. • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting outputs. • Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. • Monitor departmental and business unit financial performance against approved budgets. Compliance & Governance • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies. • Manage internal and external audit activities and implement audit recommendations. • Maintain effective financial governance and risk management frameworks. • Ensure adherence to delegated authority matrices and approval controls. • Monitor compliance with procurement, payment, and financial management procedures. Treasury & Cash Management • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities. • Monitor cash position and forecast funding requirements. • Ensure timely processing of payments and optimization of cash utilization. • Manage financial risks related to liquidity, foreign exchange, and treasury operations. Stakeholder Management • Partner with business leaders to provide financial support and operational guidance. • Liaise with auditors, banks, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders. • Support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and transformation projects when required. • Present financial performance updates and operational insights to executive management. Systems & Process Improvement • Lead enhancements in ERP systems and finance-related technologies. • Promote automation and digitization initiatives across finance operations. • Ensure data integrity and system controls within financial platforms. • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for finance operations.
