Controller, Financial & Reporting

JOB PURPOSE: The Controller, Financial & Reporting is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting processes of the organization. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides accurate financial data for decision-making, and supports strategic planning through detailed financial analysis. The Controller plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial systems and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency within the finance team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific: \u2022 Preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. \u2022 Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. \u2022 Advise senior management on financial strategies and risk management practices. \u2022 Ensure the budgeting and forecasting processes align with organizational goals. \u2022 Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting. \u2022 Guide the finance team in resolving complex accounting issues and improving reporting processes. \u2022 Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. \u2022 Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors during audits. Generic: \u2022 Lead cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives and improve reporting standards. \u2022 Oversee the integration of financial systems and tools to streamline operations. \u2022 \u2022 Establish benchmarks for financial performance and monitor progress against targets. Guide the organization in adapting to changes in financial regulations and industry standards. \u2022 Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with organizational priorities. \u2022 Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors. COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Internal: \u2022 Collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies with operational goals. \u2022 Provide regular updates to senior management on financial performance and key metrics. \u2022 Facilitate training sessions for finance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. External: \u2022 Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. \u2022 Represent the organization in financial discussions with investors and stakeholders. \u2022 Maintain relationships with financial institutions and negotiate favorable terms for funding. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management and reporting. Professional Certifications preferred CFA, CA, CPA or equivalent certification. Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management and reporting. Professional Certifications preferred CFA, CA, CPA or equivalent certification.
