Lead Architect (Leading UAE Bank) - Emiratization

Location: Dubai, UAE | Emiratization Arrangement: On-site, Monday to Friday (transition to hybrid) About the opportunity We are partnering with a leading bank in the region to appoint a Cluster Lead Architect who will own the design and ongoing transformation of its end-to-end Retail Banking workflow platforms. This is a high-impact role at the center of the bank’s digital agenda. You will shape how customers are onboarded, served, lent to and paid, and how those journeys run behind the scenes. What you’ll do • Lead the architecture, design and delivery of retail banking workflow management systems across onboarding, servicing, lending, payments, cards and compliance • Define target-state architecture and drive continuous modernization of legacy workflows into scalable, cloud solutions • Stay hands-on: guide and contribute to development in Java, Spring Boot and microservices • Design and govern APIs and integrations between BPM platforms, core banking and channel systems • Partner with Retail Operations, Product, Risk and Compliance to translate business processes into digital workflows • Set engineering standards, review designs and mentor development teams What you’ll bring • Strong experience in banking or financial services technology • Deep understanding of Retail Banking Operations and end-to-end customer journeys • Proven track record of building and delivering digital products in retail banking • Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs • Experience with BPM / workflow platforms (e.g. Pega, Appian, Camunda, IBM BAW, jBPM, Flowable) • Exposure to cloud technologies (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS/Azure, CI/CD) • Ability to lead teams and communicate with senior business stakeholders • Fluency in Arabic is a must Interested?
