IT Engineer - Patch Management

We’re Hiring: IT Engineer – Patch Management | Oman We’re looking for an experienced IT Engineer – Patch Management to support a project with a multinational consulting firm in Oman. Role details: • Location: Oman • Work setup: Onsite • Engagement: Project-based / independent contractor • Initial duration: 12 months, rolling contract • Start date: ASAP Key responsibilities: • Manage patch deployment across servers, endpoints, and enterprise IT environments. • Assess, test, and schedule patches in coordination with infrastructure and security teams. • Monitor patch compliance, troubleshoot failed deployments, and address outstanding vulnerabilities. • Maintain patching records, deployment reports, and exception tracking. • Support maintenance windows and post-deployment validation to minimise operational disruption. What we’re looking for: • 5+ years of relevant IT experience, with hands-on experience in patch management. • Experience with tools such as Microsoft SCCM / Intune, WSUS, and Ivanti. • Strong understanding of patch testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and compliance reporting. • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with technical and business stakeholders. • Willingness to work onsite in Oman under a project-based / independent contractor arrangement. Relocation: The project will sponsor the visa. Successful candidates must cover their own flight and accommodation costs.
