OT Engineer

Hiring: OT Engineer – Patch Management | Oman We’re looking for an OT Engineer – Patch Management to join a project with a multinational consulting firm in Oman. This role is suited to someone with hands-on experience managing patches across industrial environments, with a strong understanding of operational availability, compatibility, and controlled maintenance windows. Key responsibilities: • Plan and coordinate patching activities across OT environments, including ICS and SCADA systems. • Assess vendor patches for applicability, compatibility, and operational impact. • Support patch testing, deployment, validation, and rollback planning. • Coordinate with operations teams, cybersecurity teams, and vendors to schedule maintenance and minimise disruption. • Maintain patch inventories, deployment records, and exception documentation. Requirements: • 5+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on OT patch management. • Experience patching ICS / SCADA systems on vendor platforms such as Siemens, Honeywell, and ABB. • Understanding of change control, testing, and maintenance requirements in industrial environments. • Comfortable working onsite in Oman under a project-based / independent contractor arrangement.
