Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Integration Consultant (E-Invoicing)

Role Overview We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Integration Consultant to implement and customize integration interfaces between Dynamics 365 F&O and a third-party e-Invoicing platform. The consultant will focus on developing ERP-specific data extraction and transformation components, integrating invoice and tax information through APIs, and supporting invoice processing and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical development experience in Dynamics 365 F&O and a practical understanding of financial data integration. Key Responsibilities • Analyze existing Dynamics 365 F&O architecture, customizations, data entities, and available integration interfaces. • Identify invoice, credit note, debit note, customer, tax, and financial transaction data required by the e-Invoicing platform. • Develop and extend Dynamics 365 F&O integration components using X++, Data Entities, OData APIs, and custom services. • Create or customize data entities and services where standard interfaces do not satisfy integration requirements. • Develop data extraction, mapping, transformation, and integration processes. • Integrate Dynamics 365 F&O with the e-Invoicing platform using supported REST APIs, OData services, custom services, or batch integration mechanisms. • Implement invoice submission, acknowledgement, processing-status synchronization, and error tracking. • Develop logging, exception handling, retries, and reconciliation mechanisms. • Work with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, or Power Automate where required, without making middleware mandatory. • Coordinate with Dynamics 365 Finance functional consultants to validate invoice data, taxation, and accounting processes. • Support authentication, Microsoft Entra ID application configuration, network connectivity, integration security, and troubleshooting. • Perform unit testing, system integration testing, defect resolution, and deployment support. • Prepare technical designs, field mappings, test cases, and deployment documentation. Required Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations technical development. • Proficiency in X++ development, extensions, and Visual Studio development tools. • Experience with Dynamics 365 F&O Data Entities, OData services, and custom services. • Understanding of the Data Management Framework (DMF), batch processing, and supported integration patterns. • Practical experience integrating Dynamics 365 F&O with external applications using REST/JSON or other supported mechanisms. • Understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, sales invoicing, tax, and related financial data structures. • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID authentication, OAuth 2.0, and API security. • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and integration testing capabilities. • Ability to develop reliable, maintainable, and supportable integrations. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with e-Invoicing, e-tax, or financial compliance integration projects. • Exposure to Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Service Bus. • Familiarity with GCC e-Invoicing regulations. • Knowledge of electronic invoicing configurations within Dynamics 365 Finance. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / AL development is an advantage, but F&O remains the primary requirement. Expected Deliverables • Dynamics 365 F&O integration architecture and technical specifications. • Developed Data Entities, X++ extensions, services, or integration components as required. • Invoice and tax data mapping and transformation. • Tested end-to-end integration with the e-Invoicing platform. • Status synchronization, error handling, and reconciliation mechanisms. • Deployment support and technical handover documentation.
