Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Substation (11 kV) Works Location: UAE Industry: Power Distribution / Utilities Experience: 5+ Years (TAQA/Utility Experience Preferred) Job Summary The Electrical Engineer will plan, execute, test, commission, and maintain 11 kV substations and associated electrical infrastructure. The role requires utility project experience, preferably with TAQA, and ensures compliance with utility standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Technical Skills • 11 kV Substation Construction & Commissioning • Power Distribution Systems • Transformers & Switchgear • Protection Relay Testing • Cable Routing, Laying, Termination & Jointing • Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems • Electrical Safety & HSE Compliance • Project Planning & Site Supervision • Utility Coordination (TAQA) • Testing & Commissioning Procedures Preferred Experience • Experience with TAQA Distribution projects. • Utility infrastructure and network expansion projects. • Coordination with utility authorities for energization and commissioning. • Experience in EPC, power distribution, and electrical infrastructure projects within the UAE. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. • TAQA certification/Classification is required. • Minimum 5 years of experience in 11 kV substation and power distribution projects. • Experience with transformers, RMUs, switchgear, cable laying/termination, and commissioning activities. • UAE utility experience, preferably with TAQA, is highly preferred. • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety regulations, and project coordination. TAQA experience is highly desirable, particularly in 11 kV distribution networks, substations, feeder upgrades, and utility infrastructure projects.
