About the role OMNIAID is looking for a senior and internationally experienced Business Development Manager – Humanitarian Solutions to support the expansion of our technology across the humanitarian, international development, and public sectors. This is not a conventional sales role. We are looking for an established humanitarian-sector professional who combines senior-level institutional engagement, business development and partnership-building experience with a strong understanding of humanitarian operations and technology-enabled assistance programmes. The successful candidate should be comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers across UN agencies, international NGOs, governments, donors, foundations, and other institutional organisations, identifying opportunities and developing relationships from initial engagement through pilot programmes and commercial implementation. The role sits at the intersection of humanitarian operations, Cash Assistance, technology, digital transformation, institutional partnerships, and business development. Key Responsibilities • Identify, develop, and convert strategic business opportunities for OMNIAID across the humanitarian, international development, and public sectors. • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with UN agencies, international NGOs, governments, donors, foundations, and other institutional stakeholders. • Develop a qualified pipeline of prospective clients, strategic partnerships, pilot programmes, tenders, and institutional opportunities. • Lead initial and senior-level client discussions, understand operational challenges, and identify where OMNIAID technology can provide practical solutions. • Develop engagement strategies for priority organisations, countries, and humanitarian programmes. • Support negotiations and move opportunities from initial contact through technical evaluation, pilot design, proposal development, and commercial implementation. • Represent OMNIAID at international humanitarian conferences, donor meetings, exhibitions, field missions, and sector events. • Monitor donor priorities, humanitarian funding, procurement pipelines, institutional strategies, and relevant market developments. • Support the development of proposals, pilot concepts, presentations, partnership frameworks, and donor-facing materials. • Act as a senior bridge between institutional clients and OMNIAID’s product and technical teams, translating humanitarian operational requirements into clear implementation and product needs. • Contribute to the design and deployment of Cash Assistance and digital-assistance programmes, including beneficiary registration and verification, merchant networks, payment mechanisms, controls, and reporting. • Provide strategic input into OMNIAID’s product development based on humanitarian-sector needs and emerging trends. • Support country-entry and partnership strategies in new markets. • Contribute to the development of long-term institutional partnerships and scalable programmes. Candidate Profile We are looking for a candidate with a substantial and demonstrable track record in the international humanitarian or development sector, rather than someone transitioning into the sector from conventional commercial sales. Candidate profile Essential Requirements • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in the humanitarian and/or international development sector. • Proven experience in a senior business development, partnerships, programme leadership, humanitarian operations, institutional engagement, resource mobilisation, or comparable external-facing role. • Demonstrated experience working directly with major institutional stakeholders such as UN agencies, international NGOs, governments, donors, foundations, or multilateral organisations. • Strong track record of building strategic relationships and developing institutional opportunities. • Practical understanding of humanitarian programme implementation and field operations. • Experience with Cash Assistance/CVA, social assistance, beneficiary programmes, humanitarian payments, or closely related programme models. • Experience working in or supporting programmes in fragile, crisis-affected, developing, or humanitarian contexts. • Ability to engage credibly with senior decision-makers and represent OMNIAID at executive and institutional level. • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and move relationships from initial engagement toward concrete programmes, partnerships, pilots, or contracts. • Strong understanding of donor and institutional processes, including proposals, procurement, compliance, reporting, programme design, and funding mechanisms. • Ability to understand technology-enabled solutions and communicate effectively between operational stakeholders and technical/product teams. • Strong negotiation, presentation, stakeholder-management, and relationship-building skills. • Experience working across multiple countries or regions. • Willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel and field missions. • Fluent professional English. Highly Desirable • Previous leadership experience within a major international NGO, UN agency, Red Cross/Red Crescent organisation, humanitarian consortium, donor organisation, development institution, or humanitarian technology organisation. • Existing senior-level professional network across the humanitarian and development sector. • Experience with humanitarian technology, digital transformation, digital assistance, beneficiary-management platforms, payment systems, or humanitarian data systems. • Experience establishing public-private partnerships or partnerships between humanitarian organisations and technology companies. • Demonstrable experience in resource mobilisation, institutional fundraising, or developing large-scale partnerships. • Experience leading or supporting multi-country humanitarian programmes. • Previous responsibility for teams, programmes, budgets, country operations, or strategic partnerships. • Experience working directly with senior executives, government officials, donors, or heads of humanitarian organisations. • Additional professional proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic.
