We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect with 5+ years of experience, specializing in High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects or major transport infrastructure (heavy rail, metro networks, passenger terminals, or complex transit hubs). In this role, you will be responsible for leading architectural design development, coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering interfaces, technical compliance, and site implementation across station buildings, depots, and associated rail facilities. Key Responsibilities • Architectural Design & Development: Lead and support the design execution for HSR passenger stations, maintenance depots, operation control centers (OCC), and service buildings from concept through detail design and construction documentation. • Interface & Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Coordinate architectural layouts with MEP, structural engineering, rail systems (signaling, catenary, track alignment), fire & life safety, acoustics, and passenger flow/pedestrian modeling. • BIM & Technical Documentation: Oversee and review 3D BIM models (Revit) and technical drawings, ensuring adherence to project standards, Level of Detail (LOD) requirements, and spatial coordination. • Code Compliance & Statutory Approvals: Ensure all architectural designs comply with local building codes, life safety codes (NFPA 130), accessibility standards (ADA / Universal Design), and environmental/sustainability certifications (LEED/Estidama/GSAS). • Site & Construction Support: Conduct site inspections, review contractor submittals (RFIs, material samples, shop drawings), and resolve technical architectural issues during construction to ensure design intent is maintained. Key Requirements • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Architect, with a strong focus on High-Speed Rail (HSR), metro/heavy rail stations, or major transit infrastructure projects. • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from an accredited university. Professional architect registration/license is a plus. • Technical Skills & Software: • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and 3D visualization tools (Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape, or 3ds Max). • Familiarity with pedestrian simulation software (Legion) and NAVISWORKS clash detection is highly desirable. • Standards & Codes: Solid working knowledge of rail station design criteria, NFPA 130 (Standard for Fixed Guideway Transit and Passenger Rail Systems), universal access codes, and sustainability standards. • GCC / UAE Experience: Prior project experience in the GCC region, particularly the UAE, is preferred.
