Serve as the architectural discipline lead through planning, procurement, and technical oversight of rail infrastructure design. Roles and Responsibilities Accountabilities:StrategyDevelop and manage pre- and post-contract architectural design concepts aligned with RTA’s transportation goals, sustainability directives, and long-term project vision.Contribute to the technical review of rail-related legislation, planning regulations, and investment-linked projects, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with RTA’s strategic objectives. Lead architectural input for Planning & Development Manuals, design guidelines, and Rail Agency standards to ensure consistency and excellence across all rail infrastructure projects. Incorporate sustainability strategies and environmental design principles into architectural works, embedding sustainability, green economy, and value-engineering principles to optimize lifecycle costs.Operations Oversee architectural deliverables including station design, signage, wayfinding, landscaping, and intermodal interfaces ensuring compliance with codes, accessibility standards, and stakeholder requirements. Review the acoustic design, noise and vibration control measures, and fit-out guidelines, providing detailed feedback. Additionally, evaluate the advertisement and retail strategies for rail projects, offering insights in collaboration with internal departments. Provide architectural consultation and cross-functional support to other engineering disciplines throughout pre- and post-contract phases, ensuring integrated design solutions. Review consultants for RFPs/Bids, developer proposals, and design submissions, validating compliance with architectural standards, value engineering, and operational performance targets. Review and provide feedback on design submissions for all rail projects, including elevated stations, underground stations, interchange stations, and station context planning. Support the architectural quality control during execution and handover, ensuring snag resolution, and adherence to Defect Notification Period (DNP) obligations. Ensure HSQE requirements related to architectural elements are implemented across all design and construction stages.Capture lessons learned from the project initiation stage through to the defect notification period.Product / Process Improvement Lead the preparation, review, and continuous update of internal architectural design manuals and documentation frameworks in line with international best practices. Consider user complaints and contextual improvements to enhance architectural station's usability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
