Head of Operations

About Pet Point Pet Point is one of Kuwait's leading pet supplies companies, operating retail shops, a central warehouse, an in-house delivery fleet, an e-commerce platform, wholesale distribution to co-operatives and key accounts, a call centre, and grooming services. About the Role This is a company-wide role reporting directly to Management. The Head of Operations leads the business through its department heads – Sales & Retail, Purchasing, Warehouse & Logistics, E-commerce, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, HR and IT/ERP. You will not do each department's work; you will set priorities, hold department heads accountable, and make sure the whole company executes as one chain. Key Responsibilities • Direct and follow up with all department heads; set priorities, approve action plans and hold each head accountable for results and deadlines. • Own company problems end to end: identify the responsible department, drive root-cause analysis, agree the corrective action, owner and deadline, and follow up until the issue is verified and closed. • Keep the full chain working together – marketing campaigns, stock availability, purchasing, warehouse, e-commerce and delivery – so that plans in one department are supported by the others. • Translate company objectives into quarterly plans for each department, with clear KPIs, owners and timelines, and track progress weekly and monthly. • Run a central action tracker for all management decisions, with an owner, deadline and status for every action. • Deliver weekly and monthly management reports covering progress against plan, overdue actions, key problems, KPIs, risks and decisions needed. • Request information, action plans and deadlines from any department, while department heads remain accountable for their specialist work. • Drive process improvement, SOPs and better use of our ERP (Odoo), data and AI tools across the company. Requirements (must-have) • 3–5 years of operations experience in retail, e-commerce or distribution. • Hands-on experience coordinating several departments at once (e.g. stores, warehouse, delivery, e-commerce, purchasing) and following up actions to closure. • Experience managing KPIs, action trackers and weekly/monthly management reports. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field. • Based in Kuwait with transferable residency (Article 18). Preferred • Daily use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) to build reports, analyse data, draft SOPs and automate repetitive work – please mention how you use AI in your application. • Strong Excel / Google Sheets, dashboards and ERP skills (Odoo is a plus). • Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory, accounting basics, digital marketing, HR and legal basics. • Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage. • Please note: this role coordinates and holds department heads accountable across the whole company.
