Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide cost management support for refrigeration and HVAC projects, including preparation, review, and verification of Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Day-to-day responsibilities include cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting across project stages, as well as monitoring budgets, assessing variations, and preparing financial forecasts. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, value engineering, and compliance with contractual terms. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work part time in a hybrid arrangement, with the primary location in Abu Dhabi and flexibility for some work from home, while maintaining clear communication and documentation for all assigned projects. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management for construction or MEP-related projects. • Candidates should possess skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to support budgeting, forecasting, and project performance analysis. • Candidates should possess experience in preparing and reviewing BOQ and related quantity take-offs. • Candidates should possess proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying and project management software (e.g., MS Excel, cost management tools). • Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. • Candidates should possess strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Candidates should possess effective communication and negotiation skills for working with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers. • Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or building services projects, and familiarity with regional construction standards and contracts, is an advantage.
