Principal Product Designer

About Noon Noon is a Saudi EdTech company. Noon Track runs inside schools: a hybrid programme that prepares students for Qudrat (قدرات) and Tahsili (تحصيلي), the national university-admission exams. Our students are 15 to 17 years old. Noon is becoming an AI-native company, department by department, and the number of schools we serve is growing. We believe every student deserves world-class teachers. And to make it happen, we’re reimagining everything about education: from cutting-edge tech to peer learning and physical spaces that spark curiosity. • Hear about our vision directly from our CEO here. • Learn more about us [here] The role You will be the one designer who owns the student experience. Primarily that means the student app: where students study, work with an AI tutor, answer questions, and take part in activities, including games and head-to-head duels on a topic. You will also shape parts of the live classroom experience. This is a Senior/Principal-level individual contributor Product Designer role. There is no design team underneath you and no manager drawing your roadmap. You take a problem from the first student conversation to the shipped screen, and you decide what to look at next. Why this role • One owner of the whole student experience, with a direct line to leadership. • Speed: with AI in the workflow, ideas go from research to release in days, not quarters. • An experimentation practice being built from the ground up, with you shaping it. • A company expanding into more schools, with a long-term ambition to match. What You Will Do • Spend real time with students in Saudi schools. Interviews, focus groups, classroom observation. Turn what you hear into design decisions, and go back to check them. • Design for Saudi Arabia, not for the generic "best practice" app. Patterns that work in London or San Francisco often fail here. You know why, and you can show it in your work. • Own the student app end to end. Flows, information architecture, prototypes, final UI, and the handover to engineering. • Design activities students want to come back to, games and duels included, with learning as the gate: an activity that is more fun but teaches less is a regression. • Run experiments. State a hypothesis, build the variants, agree the metric, and read the result honestly. You will help build the experimentation practice, not just use it. • Work AI-native. Use AI tools for generation, prototyping and production so your time goes to research and judgement. We care about the quality of your decisions, not how many pixels you pushed by hand. • Work directly with the product manager and engineers. Short loops, fast releases, no layers. About you (To be successful in this role, you should have): • Roughly 5 years of experience in UX, product design experience. We care less about the number and more about how many people you have interviewed and what you did with it. • A research practice you can describe in detail: how you recruit, what you ask, how you synthesise, how it reached the product. • A portfolio of projects that demonstrate your creativity and delivery of results through great consumer-facing mobile-first experiences • Proficiency in using various tools and techniques to create and communicate your design ideas, such as sketches, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc. • Experience in conducting user research and testing in different contexts and cultures, using both qualitative and quantitative methods • A strong sense of empathy, curiosity, and creativity, and a willingness to learn and experiment Why Noon? • Real impact — your work directly affects how thousands of students learn every day. • Speed and autonomy — small team, big problems, zero bureaucracy. • AI-native culture — we don't just talk about AI, we build with it daily. • Well-funded — Series B closed, substantial recurring revenue, and accelerating. • Mission that matters — every student deserves world-class teachers. We're making it happen. Benefits In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer: • Performance-based bonus • 21 days of annual leave • Full premium Medical coverage, including Family Dependent Noon Academy is the #1 EdTech in MENAP, on a mission to radically change the way students learn. Founded in Riyadh in 2013, we've taught over 20 million students across five countries — and today we run Noon Tracks, hybrid micro-schools where a master teacher goes live across up to 20 classrooms at once, amplified by AI and peer-to-peer learning. Never study alone. Show more Show less
