(JEPCC) Department: Engineering & Design Center Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role POWERCHINA JEPCC is seeking a technically strong and experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our Dubai Engineering & Design Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently executing civil and structural engineering design for utility-scale Solar PV projects, with additional involvement in BESS, HV/EHV Substations, and Transmission Line infrastructure across the Middle East and Africa. Key Responsibilities Independently deliver complete civil and structural engineering design packages from concept to IFC stage. Perform site grading, earthworks, cut-and-fill optimization, and road design. Design stormwater drainage systems, underground utilities, and site infrastructure. Conduct structural analysis and foundation design for PV mounting structures, inverter stations, transformers, and BESS facilities. Prepare detailed engineering calculations, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings. Review geotechnical reports, topographical surveys, and hydrology studies. Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards. Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. 8–12 years of relevant civil engineering design experience. Hands-on civil design experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects is mandatory. Proven experience delivering complete civil engineering design packages in EPC/EPCM environments. Strong expertise in grading, earthworks, roads, drainage, underground utilities, and foundation design. Ability to independently perform structural and foundation engineering calculations. Strong technical understanding of detailed design and IFC deliverables. Engineering Software Required: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000. Preferred: Revit/BIM, Global Mapper, InfraWorks, GIS platforms. Preferred Experience BESS and HV/EHV AIS/GIS Substation projects. Transmission Line civil and foundation design. UAE/GCC/Middle East project experience. Experience with utility and infrastructure clients. Important This is a hands-on engineering DESIGN position. Candidates must demonstrate independent technical calculation capabilities and proven detailed design experience.
